How do Kindred Thicket history guides handle accuracy?

We took care of it, in one of two ways. For a Revised Edition, such as Our Island Story and This Country of Ours, we correct the factual mistakes, historical errors and dated wording in the text itself, and the companion guide includes plain accuracy notes, an errata, that explain each change. For an Enhanced Edition, such as Viking Tales and Fifty Famous Stories Retold, we keep the original text as written and add Teacher's Notes that give the historical context and corrections alongside the reading. Either way, matters of perspective are left and flagged, so you decide what to discuss, and nothing is quietly changed.

What is the map work like for history?

Each chapter comes with custom maps drawn and keyed to that chapter's own events, used alongside a basic atlas, with discussion questions laddered from kindergarten through the upper years. It is geography drawn out of the story, not a worksheet.
